Now on eBay…

October 6, 2010

I’m putting a group of three alien rebel X-Wing pilots up for auction on eBay. You can check it out here:

These include my first ever custom, the Greedo X-Wing Pilot, as well as my most recent, the Hammerhead X-Wing Pilot. To round out the group, I’m throwing in the female Mon Calamari Pilot.

Once again, if your interested in looking at the eBay auction, click here!

Now’s your chance to support custom fan art, and own some really cool figures!

Hammerhead As Rebel Pilot

July 29, 2010

Here is my version of Hammerhead, an Ithorian, as a X-Wing rebel pilot.

Recipe:

  • Vintage Hammerhead Head, Feet and Hands
  • Vintage Bossk Arms and Legs
  • Vintage X-Wing Pilot Body

As always, I only use vintage figures that are beyond repair or restoration, breathing new life into something that would otherwise be thrown away.

Biggs As TIE Fighter Pilot

July 28, 2010

Biggs Darklighter was a friend of Luke, who trained at the Academy. Biggs served as a TIE Fighter Pilot before joining the rebellion, as we see in the original movie.

Recipe:

  • X-Wing Pilot Body
  • GI-Joe Head
  • Star Destroyer Cmd Arms and Legs

Snow Trooper Captain…

July 27, 2010

Another addition in the “unmasked” series, here is my version of a SnowTrooper Captain with his helmet removed.

Still needs a white cape…

Recipe:

  • Snow Trooper Arms, Legs and Helmet
  • GI-Joe Head
  • AT-AT Commander Body

Here is a reference photo and link to more info.

Darth Vader Unmasked…

July 27, 2010

We’ve seen an unmasked Vader late in life in ROTJ, but what would he have looked like unmasked during his prime? His is still scarred and burned, but looking stronger and not so pale. As Obi Wan says, “He’s more machine than man now…”

Still needs a black cape…

Recipe:

  • Darth Vader Body
  • GI-Joe Head

Imperial Guard Unmasked

July 27, 2010

This is my custom version of an Imperial Guard with his helmet removed, so we can get a glimpse of the type of man beneath the mask. The Imperial Guard was originally formed to protect the Galactic Senate, so these individuals pre-date the Stormtroopers and are not clones.

Still needs a red cape…

Recipe:

  • Darth Vader Body
  • SnowTrooper Helmet
  • GI-Joe Head

General Lando Calrissian

July 16, 2010

Here’s my custom version of General Lando Calrissian. I created this for two reasons: One, the “real” version is somewhat rare, and two, the “real” version doesn’t quite get the uniform right. This custom doesn’t get it 100% either, but at least the slacks are (approximately) right.

Recipe:

  • General Madine Torso and Shoulders
  • Skiff Lando Head
  • Bespin Lando Arms
  • AT-AT Pilot Legs

All my customs use vintage figures that were in “played-with” condition and beyond restoration.

BoShek, Everyone’s Second-Favorite Cantina Pilot

July 8, 2010

This is the requisite “BoShek” custom, the pilot from the cantina scene that introduces Obi Wan to Chewbacca.

Recipe:

  • Bossk Body
  • X-Wing Pilot Legs and Arms
  • GI-Joe Head

I only use vintage figures, those that are beyond any repair or restoration, for my customs.

Snow Speeder Pilot Luke

July 8, 2010

In “The Empire Strikes Back”, we see Luke Skywalker on the planet Hoth piloting a Snow Speeder. He is in the same X-Wing orange uniform, except with large white leather gloves.

Recipe:

  • Degoba Luke Head
  • X-Wing Pilot Body and Helmet
  • Hoth Han Solo Gloves and Boots

I only use vintage donor figures that are beyond repair or restoration.
