Biggs As TIE Fighter Pilot

July 28, 2010

Biggs Darklighter was a friend of Luke, who trained at the Academy. Biggs served as a TIE Fighter Pilot before joining the rebellion, as we see in the original movie.

Recipe:

  • X-Wing Pilot Body
  • GI-Joe Head

Works in Progress…

May 18, 2010

Here are two works in progress, both nearly finished and just in need of a few accessories.

The first is an Imperial Guard with a removable helmet. The idea is to personalize this figure by seeing the face behind the red mask. To finish this figure he needs a better staff weapon and a red cape.

The second is Darth Vader Unmasked. He is “more machine than man” now, and it shows. He also needs a cape, and some detail on the chest plate.

Recipe (Imperial Guard):

  • Darth Vader
  • Snow Trooper
  • GI Joe Head

Recipe (Darth Vader Unmasked):

  • Darth Vader
  • Medical Droid
  • GI Joe Head

I only use donor figures that are beyond repair or restoration.

Lando Calrissian As Smuggler

April 4, 2010

This is my vision of what Lando must have looked like in his early days as a smuggler and captain of the Millennium Falcon.

Recipe:

  • Lando (ROTJ)
  • Han Solo body
  • Bespin Han Solo legs

This particular vintage figure was cobbled together from spare parts and a Lando head that needed new paint.

Young Boba Fett

April 4, 2010

This is a custom action figure of a young Boba Fett. He was given a fresh and colorful set of armor to go along with his fresh face. He has yet to see the wear-and-tear of the bounty hunter life…

Notice in the photo of the back pack, there is a new customized rocket, not the kind typically found on a vintage Boba Fett. Also, this figure is shown holding his helmet, which has been carefully hollowed out, but is not wearable.

Recipe:

  • Vintage Boba Fett
  • Vintage Han Solo head

This particular vintage figure was a candidate for customization since he came to me missing his red back-pack missile, with bad paint and suffering from sun fading.
